The special feature of the tower in timber frame construction: The triangular platform is supported by three Douglas firs felled in Freiburg's city forest on the Schauinsland. An open steel staircase leads up 85 steps to the covered platform. Enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of Freiburg and the Rhine Valley all the way to the blue ribbon of the Vosges Mountains. From the top station you can reach the tower in about 30 minutes.
