After you have comfortably floated up to an altitude of 1220 m on the Schauinsland cable car, you can whiz back down to the valley in a racy manner: on a high-tech scooter of the latest design and equipped with professional protective clothing, you will ride the longest downhill scooter route in Europe (8 km) back to the valley station on specially designated forest paths. The descent takes about 1 hour (750 meters altitude).

Start at the upper station (not in case of rain or snow)

Restrictions
At the moment only possible with limited number of persons, binding registration and advance payment.

Special rides
From May 1 to November 1, special rides are possible outside the regular scooter times at 11:00, 14:00 and 17:00 for groups of up to 50 people by advance reservation.

Discount
Individuals who rent a scooter receive a discount of €2.00 on the uphill ride with the Schauinslandbahn.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 12 years, height min. 150 cm, maximum weight 120 kg

  • Instruction in riding technique and rental of protective equipment (cross helmet, elbow and knee protection, gloves)

  • A good physical condition, durable clothing, sturdy shoes

  • At the moment participation is only possible with vaccination, convalescence or test certificate

  • Masks are compulsory during the briefing and handing out of the equipment

  • Contact tracing
