A large sandpit next to the lower station invites you to dig and play. Children can spend their time on the mini-cable car or on the toboggan, or dream quietly in the bird nest swing. Everything is planned for you, while adults can relax on the benches located just nearby.
After the ascent with the Schauinsland cable car, everyone can admire the panorama and the overview of Freiburg on our panoramic platform. Several spring swings, as well as two different toboggans, ensure that our young guests feel equally well at an altitude of 1,220 m. Here you can find numerous seating places to keep an eye on the children and Freiburg at the same time.
The tree house complex consists of two tree houses and one platform, which are accessible via a stair tower and connecting tunnel. The tree houses feature various exciting play elements on the subjects of ‘look’ and ‘see’. The children get back down to the bottom via a tunnel slide. The houses are made of solid larch and each one has been clamped to four established trees using clamping fixtures. No nails or screws have been used. This is to ensure that the trees are neither damaged nor hindered from growing. If there is snow, if the temperature falls below 0 °C or if the wind speed reaches higher than 40 km/h and at times when the cable car is not running, the tree house complex will be closed for safety reasons. The current play area regulations for the state of Baden-Württemberg apply.
