How about a walk in the nature reserve through primeval forests and along the species-rich meadows of the Schauinsland saddle? This easy tour is a gentle introduction to discovering the Schauinsland and its diversity, and can also be done well with children. The circular route only takes about an hour. The highlight is the Schauinsland tower. From the 31-meter-high viewing platform, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of Freiburg and the Rhine Valley all the way to the blue ribbon of the Vosges Mountains.
