Erzkasten circular route
Discover the summit area of the Schauinsland on the Erzkasten Circular Route. On this trail, you will learn everything about the scenery, geology, mining, settling, and environmental protection through numerous presentation boards.

Exciting views
Walk in the footsteps of the cable car builders and live very closely the performances realized by these pioneers. This hike through mixed mountain forests ranging from the upper station to the lower station is pleasantly shaded in summer.
Panoramic terrace with tree houses
Reach even greater heights: At the upper station, passengers can enjoy a new barrier-free panoramic terrace with seating and a play area for children, including three tree houses.

Mine Museum
With some 100 km of length, distributed over 22 levels, the mine, developed in the Schauinsland mountain over 800 years in the search for silver, lead, and zinc, is the largest one in the Black Forest and the Vosges.
Schniederlihof
The Schniederlihof Museum offers a deep glimpse into Black Forest history. The Schniederlihof still shows today, in a true to the original way, what the often hard life of the Black Forest Mountain farmers was like in the early days.

Herbal Discovery Trail
Come and discover the diversity of local herbs and medicinal plants on the Schauinsland. The Herbal Discovery Trail will take you through the typical Black Forest landscape, marked by alternating mountain meadows, pastures and forests.
Schauinsland tower
Already from far away, the Schauinsland Tower, also known as Eugen Keidel Tower, can be spotted. Climb up the 22m-high viewing tower – the overwhelming view is worth it!
Children's playground
While the adults relax in the sun, the children can play on the two large playgrounds. Three toboggans, a mini-cable car and more, await our young guests in the outdoor space of the lower and upper stations.
Biking
Come and discover the Schauinsland by bike. Slowly or at high speed - you decide the rhythm. Take the Schauinsland cable car to get to the summit and enjoy the fresh air and freedom.
Scooting
After the ascent by the Schauinsland cable car, you can roll back down in a speedy manner: by a high-tech, state-of-the-art scooter, you ride down the longest scooting course in Europe. Only Schauinsland can offer it to you. Experience it at least once.
Sled run
Sled down at full speed with a panoramic view, that’s what the Schauindland also offers you in winter. If the snow is sufficient, the slopes of the mountain around the upper station will offer you perfect sledding days for the whole family.
Cross-country skiing
In double lines, gently glide through the winter landscape and breathe and feel nature. Cross-country skiing is a quiet winter sport, but not less attractive or exciting.
Ski-Alpin
Schauinsland offers slopes of varying degrees of difficulty whether for alpine skiing or snowboarding. Enjoy the clean air of the mountain and ski down at high speed.
